Juan Lazaro Mendolas is the founder and leader of the Andean music ensemble known as Beyond the Mountain. This group plays in the traditional style of the Andes Mountains including music from Peru, Bolivia and other countries in this region of South America. Instruments in this ensemble include sikus, choquelas, kenas, charango, drum, flute and guitar.
